Discharged prior to September 11, 2001 are on a fixed income that must include VA compensation for a service connected injury/illness and facing an unexpected financial hardship

These catastrophic injuries must have occurred on or after October 7, 2001. Must have a quadruple amputation, triple amputation, quadriplegia, paraplegia, or double limb amputation with other injuries such as severe burns, blindness, and traumatic brain injury.
